Bruce Carnegie-Brown appointed chairman

Conduit Capital Markets, the independent mid-market institutional derivatives and securities dealer, today announces the appointment of Bruce Carnegie-Brown as Non-Executive Chairman, with effect from 10 May 2010.

Most recently a Managing Partner of 3i Group and Chairman of its Financial Services Practice, Mr Carnegie-Brown follows Peter Middleton as Chairman of Conduit Capital Markets – a role he has held since the company was founded in 2006.
Commenting on developments, Paul Morgan, Chief Executive of Conduit Capital Markets said:

Bruce Carnegie-Brown began his career at Bank of America, then moved to JP Morgan in 1985. At JP Morgan, he held a number of senior positions including Chairman of JP Morgan Securities Asia, Head of European and Asian Debt Capital Markets and Chief Credit Officer for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

In 2003, Bruce joined Marsh & McLennan as Chief Executive Officer of Marsh Ltd and became President of Marsh Europe and the Middle East. In 2007, he moved to 3i as a member of the Group’s Management and Investment Committees.

The other Non-Executive Director on the CCM board is Mark Watson, former Head of European Fixed Income at Citigroup, who joined the Firm in May 2009.
